The VI-Peel Procedure

A Vi-Peel session only takes 15 minutes with no anesthesia or needles. This non-invasive treatment requires little downtime and pre-conditioning. Every patient starts with a fresh face by first cleansing with the Vi-Derm cleanser in office. Dr. Norris will then apply the chemical peel on the face and neck while doing a very light pass on the eyes. Patients may feel a tingling sensation which will subdue after a few seconds have passed. After several passes on the face, Dr. Norris will then explain the post-peel requirements for taking care and prolonging the benefits of the peel. Patients are expected to peel on the third or fourth day and complete their peeling process on the seventh day. Each patient’s skin is unique so the results of the peel may vary. It is recommended that patients receive multiple treatments to see visible results.

Post-Peel Instructions

Once the procedure is done, patients are allowed to leave while instructed to limit their exposure to the sun. Masks are a helpful component when hiding the face from the sun rays however, we recommend not wearing a mask for more than eight hours. Patients will leave with a post-peel kit which includes sunscreen, anti-itch cream, Vi-Peel cleansing packets, and a guide. The guide in your kit will give you a detailed schedule on when to use the products.
